Highlights
- Venus Retrograde mostly in Aries March 4-April 15.
- Jupiter Ingress to Scorpio October 17.
- Saturn Ingress to Capricorn in December 19.
2017 for your Sun Sign/Ascendant.
Aries
The year starts off with bit low energy or escapist tendencies until late January when Mars enters Aries. Then B-bang! The reinvention of Self carries on with Uranus in your Sun Sign and the sector of your personal identity. You continue to be particularly sensitive to electro-magnetic radiation and fluctuating stressors.
Aries is an adrenaline-based Sign. You may not notice the tension build up as it is already part of your make-up. Other personal chart factors can make a difference in how you feel the tension. Still, best to stay conscious of your body’s responses and reactions. Kali Phosphoricum is your personal tissue Salt. It may come in handy, especially for those Aries born after April 9.
Jupiter in the sector of partners, clients, and other one-to-one relationships expands your horizons. Feedback from others (or projection onto others) can provide insight into your bursting individualism. Make decisions keeping the future in mind. Enjoy your moments with others. Have fun this year, find balance and harmony with others who are culturally, generationally, or otherwise different from you. Explore all kinds of relationships . Who knows? By the time Jupiter enters Scorpio, one of those connections may become more intimate or committed to partnership. It may not look like what you think.
Saturn finishes its tour through a metaphysical and philosophical adventure-land at the end of 2017. In the meantime, knowing that professional changes or increased responsibilities are heading your way in the next couple of years, this is the time to pursue educational goals that may be useful down the road. If not structured class times, then a dogged persistent search for Truth, will serve you well.
Pluto pushes toward an evolving detachment from what your place in the world looks like while Neptune creates room for spiritual or imaginative pursuits.
Venus Retrogrades in Aries and Pisces this year. It’s all about you (and for every Sign, to some degree) How do you dress yourself up and does it reflect the awakening of a new Self? Can you look in the mirror, see the beauty of you, and breathe into and out of a deep and calming, Ahhhhh.
Taurus
The year starts with all planets except Jupiter above the horizon. This means that the result of previous inner work will be noticed by others, significant partners, your teachers, your community and conceivably your ancestors.
Fortunately, with Jupiter in the sector of daily routines, work life, service and wellness, steady effort at self-mastery reflects positively on you. Whether you work more than usual or put emphasis on health matters, like losing or gaining weight, also place importance on balance.
Saturn continues to emphasize phases and cycles. To understand what that means to you, look deeply at your personal psychology and belief systems. Along with the transformative drive of Pluto, meditate on your evolving beliefs and how you respond to ever present change. You may reaffirm your convictions or establish more suitable and mature ones.
Jeffrey Wolf Green wrote a book called Uranus: Freedom from the Known which may be helpful this year. Letting Go. The Pathway to Surrender by Dr. David R. Hawkins is another fantastic book with a sure fire, simple method to let go of all the layers of emotional distress that keeps us from fully being present and happy.
Uranus continues its journey through the sector that represents those areas that are invisible, yet still push our buttons. Fears, collective beliefs, spirits and ghosts from the past fall in this category. Imagine awakening from the dreams that keep you from being You.
Neptune travels in the sector that includes our tribe and community. This share from Facebook seems appropriate “Cancel your subscriptions to other people’s drama and negativity.” Reduce the energy drain of people who cannot be trusted. Make room for community that incorporates some kind of transcendent, compassionate, sacred or healing space, even if that space is on-line.
This may be a year where your aspirations seem less important. They may even dissolve down the drain as if they never existed. That makes room for other daydreams and ambitions to materialize.
When Venus retrogrades in March, use the 40 days to reflect on the values of your ancestors. Do they apply to you? Do you hide what you love? Is it tricky to discern what you value or need? Is there a relationship to your body image? Does fear play a role? Ask for dreams to inspire what Venus Retrograde has to offer you.
Venus correlates to love, beauty and money. In general, March 4- April 5 is not the best time to make luxury purchases, and especially for Taurus this year, because so much behind the scenes material could still reveal itself— people from the past included.
Gemini
If concentrated effort has been put into relationships over the last year, 2017 can mean solidity in human connection. By solidity, there would be an increased level of maturity in your interactions, whether you are in a partnership or not.
If the effort has been avoided, further life lessons and reality checks persist. Looking at the foundation of each personal relationship and making decisions on how they might work more effectively in the bigger picture is worth the endeavor.
Some Geminis find decision-making perplexing and complicated. William Glasser’s book, Choice Theory: A New Psychology of Personal Freedom, is an eye opening book on the psychology of how we choose our life conditions. In this book, Glasser offers better ways to make choices with the result of living a happy life with the people we want in our worlds.
Shared resources continue to require focus this year. Shared resources are like, but not exclusively, finances held jointly in a marriage, in a business partnership or in the stock market. Explore what psychological and emotional attachment to these resources have meant. This includes looking a joint values and principles.
Has wealth been acquired to bring status to a partnership arrangement? We can now have a Mercedes and that makes us more powerful. If finances are unstable, can we be better stewards of our mutual resources including planetary ones? Improve recycling efforts. Observation of behaviors involving power and manipulation, could promote the evolutionary drive for self-sufficiency.
This time is not necessarily an indicator of an external event disrupting or regenerating finances. However, some Geminis may experience a financial change. It’s not all personal, some global conditions can create circumstances are beyond our control.
With Jupiter in the sector of joy, romance, creative endeavors, and children for most of this year, those areas of life bloom bountifully. Jupiter can bring too much of a good thing. Practice deciding where to direct creative energy.
Professional matters, unless otherwise indicated in the personal chart, can continue to feel vague and unclear for some Geminis. Others may feel less energetic, victimized by others expectations. Space is being made to clear out old fantasies about your calling or prepare for new potential. A vision board can be helpful to see the form of what ‘appears’ to be hidden.
Venus Retrograde, March 4- April 15, is exceptional for reflecting on what groups or communities bring value into your life.
Later in May, when the North Lunar Node enters Leo and the South Node is in Aquarius, Geminis begin a year and a half cycle learning to bring more joy into life. Learn to follow your heart rather stay attached to old dreams.
Cancer
If, over the first few days of January, you could sit in a meditative posture looking West, you would see Mercury. If you were gazing into the eyes of another, and had even only a few sensitive Cancerian bones in your body, you might be able to imagine a message coming into form and projecting out from the other person. Pay attention. Capture the message, tuck it into a safe place. The meaning could be revealed later in the month.
The evolutionary impulse, as some Cancers might already have tuned into, relates to the deepest emotional connections with other people. The purpose of powerful, sometimes hypnotic, relations are more about self-discovery than anything else. We all evolve through our involvement in others. What makes this potent for Cancers is that Pluto, in the sector of relationships, triggers the emotional attachments to others which deny or enforce the evolution of Self. Control issues, power struggles, limitation, seemingly unexplainable attractions to persuasive authoritarians are clues to look within and check up on one’s own Shadow.
Though this message reads intensely thus far, the silver lining planet, Guru Jupiter, travels through the sector of home and family until September and expands the personal environment, and welcomes others into it. Create a space filled with beauty, peace, love and harmony. Home is a valued place for Cancer energy and Jupiter supports that this year.
Finding meaning through spiritual teachings can also be part of the big picture in 2017. It is enticing when a retreat center at the ocean offers a great deal with wonderful marketing visuals and a message that resonates fully and completely with your Soul.
This year you can feel exceptionally open and compassionate to all kinds of teachings especially if they meet an emotional need. Some instructions will be valid, others not so much. For some, spiritual pursuits, are at an all time high, for others gullibility is.
Saturn places health and wellness into a primary role for some Cancers. Here is an opportunity to work at good health for self or in service to others. Natural principles of healing resonate with Saturn in Sagittarius. It would take other chart indicators to suggest a job in healthcare or a health incident.
What Saturn is really looking for is mastery in some area of daily life and that includes health. Down the road when Saturn opposes the Cancer Sun in a year or two, it will be good to know there was effort made in getting the body into good shape.
Some Cancers, especially those born in the last 3rd of the sign, have potential to awaken to a new sense of Purpose and place in the world. Uranus travels the house of profession and worldly status. The current profession may not cut it anymore. With the speed of a lightning bolt, awareness strikes and this sensitive water sign heats up with forgotten memories and brilliant ideas for a reinvention of purpose.
Venus Retrograde, March 4 April 15, is a time to reflect on whether the life is being lived in alignment with what you essentially need to feed your Soul.
Leo
Saturn in Sagittarius is a journey of ripening for Leos. The fruits of your creative energy is felt in a more solid ways. This is especially potent for Leo’s born in the last third of the Sign. Hopefully this is noticeable, but it might not be. That’s why it needs to be said.
Good use of creative passion at this time will be helpful in 4-ish years when Saturn opposes your Sun. Stoke your inner fire, support your heart in all ways from the physical to emotional to spiritual. Find ways to have fun. During this time, unless there are other factors to consider, it should not be so strenuous to do so. Fun. Levity. Gaiety. Merriment. All good remedies for Leos in 2017.
With Pluto in the sector of self-mastery, the challenge is to access and trust the teaching of masters who live or have lived in integrity. If you have a connection to a teacher in that way, your presence in the world at this time, can be like a conduit to strong principles of honor, solidarity and cohesion.
If you don’t, then this time period can be one to deeply reflect on those principles and, as called, implement persistently one day at a time.
Partially due to global economies and partially the influence of Neptune in your financial sector, it is recommended to be more vigilant with the flow of money especially borrowing or lending. Confusion or misunderstandings are possible, as is over-extension, as a result of well-meaning compassion.
Jupiter’s presence for much of the year brings opportunities for travel, education and networking. Sibling relations can improve especially when the principle of BALANCE is implemented. Good listening skills will greatly enhance this potential.
As with Geminis, it flashed to recommend, William Glasser’s book, Choice Theory: A New Psychology of Personal Freedom. He discusses how we place people in and out of our “quality world.” Sometimes we are taken out of someone else’s quality world. In this book, Glasser offers a process that helps us making good choices without controlling others. End result: a happier life with the people we want in our worlds.
A metaphysical revolution, an awakening to new teachings, a crash course in meaning, a lightbulb moment of recognition… these are possibilities in 2017 as well. They run hand in hand with Jupiter’s teachings. Only in this case the influencers are true individualists. You may be one, in which case, YOU and your Leo Heart, are most welcome to those who can use inspiration from someone who carves out their own path on their terms.
Venus Retrograde in March through mid-April promotes reflection on the necessity of freedom on the path to Truth.
Virgo
What jumps out immediately is that at the beginning of 2017, Mars and Neptune in Pisces conjoin in the sector of relationships. Sometimes these are with our marriage partners, other times, a client, a work mate, an attorney or even a guru.
While Mars moves out of Pisces by the end of January, it feels important to mention the disconnected energy of Mars/Neptune can generate. Sometimes romantic, other times it lends itself to the Florence Nightingale Syndrome of over-caretaking or seeing potential has little chance of manifesting. Enjoy romance, love of Guru, and compassionate action. And, don’t lose sight of that Virgo capacity to discriminate wisely.
Not everyone needs your care, some simply need your prayer.
Virgo is the sign of improvement. One presentation is a critical need for perfection. Other times it is a sincere devotion to service. Neptune can create some confusion about appropriate service to another. Sometimes it is better to NOT give actively. Prayer may be an option. Sometimes it is good to ask first, to get clarification on needs. Then ask again, because Neptune’s filter is a bit hazy.
Virgos born in the first 5 days of September are more susceptible to Neptune’s influence during all of 2017.
The Martian influence in January may attack the immune and lymph systems for a few Pisces. Overall energy level can mysteriously deplete. Virgo’s natural mineral Kali Sulphuricum and Pisces is Ferrum Phosphate. In Tissue Salt form they can strengthen Virgos’ energy levels.
Other chart factors would diffuse/reduce this affect or exhibit as symptoms by others close to you. Working with the imagination, prayer, meditation, music and similar non-tangible methods are recommended. So is rest. Rest might be the best tool yet.
Jupiter in the house of personal resources, and values, has the potential to expand abundance. It feels good to give big-time as long as there is balance. Practice gracious receiving, too.
Home and family responsibilities continue to demand focus for some Virgos as Saturn travels through the sector of personal environment. Renovations, appliance breakdowns can take longer to deal with. That’s in the external environs.
The inner terrain— that which since childhood, has, out of necessity, created resistance or cracks expressed as self-defeating emotional patterns— that is what Saturn is most interested in rebuilding. The very foundation of the Soul combined with the Conditioned Self requires attention. This is more important than a little bit and noticeable for those born in the last third of Virgo.
The 40 day Venus Retrograde starting in March requests in a sweetly demanding way (it’s in Aries for most of this cycle) a look finances, intimacy, sexuality and what makes you tick tick tick psychologically.. and what makes you blow up. How does freedom and power play a role in deeply emotionally relationships? Is it time to renegotiate? It wouldn’t hurt to look at patterns with past lovers and partners.
Libra
2017 opens with a call to return to your roots. Reflection on personal space, family matters, the home, and for some, that can include considering the balance between home and profession.
Many Libras have, since 2008, have revived their sense of Purpose, others have known something substantial in that area is just around the corner. In any case, the evolutionary drive for profound inner change emanates from the Will of the Soul. Sometimes therapeutic work is helpful, because it can provide an intellectual understanding of how the foundation of one’s life has been built.
If the foundation has cracks, understanding the roots, can lead to other modalities for emotional healing. October 7-11 Libras are most influenced this year; however, this call to Soul Awareness is not a quick walk around the block to visit the Oracle. To build inner strength and align one’s personal will with one’s Higher Calling can be a lifetime project. It’s just that during this time, the intensity is more noticeable. The results of deep inner work, is a stronger and more full-filled life.
Actively watching thoughts this year, provides further insight to how Libras build their reality. A meditation practice can be helpful as is writing in a journal and rereading the entries to analyze the content. Understanding the messages that the Mind sends you, creates awareness of why Life unfolds the way it does.
Change any negative language the mind tends habitually use. Instead repeat positive mantras, write affirmations, and read supportive books. Training and controlling the Mind makes for a more enjoyable life journey. Experiment with changing commonly used phrases like “I can’t to “I can”. “I don’t want”, becomes “I want”. “I hate doing this” is replaced by “I love doing that”.
Late in 2017, when Saturn enters Capricorn, early Libras, who can already relate to these profound influences, are challenged to use the results of the inner work in a more external way. This could mean renovating the home environment, dealing with family matters more directly, or rebuilding physical strength. For all Libras, proactively put health routines into place.
Good health requires sound sleep, appropriate exercise and healthy, clean foods. Toxicity, food/drug/alcohol sensitivities may become apparent. Cleansing too vigorously can be too much for the body and the kidneys. Libra, your natural mineral is Sodium Phosphate or Natrum Phosphoricum. In Tissue Salt form it strengthens vital energy and is helpful for acid balance.
Joyful, loving Jupiter in Libra continues to travel through your Sign and is your silver lining this year. Jupiter expands relationships mostly because you have an air of wisdom and generosity around you. Others can see you as special, talented, even glorious. Careful to not let it go to your head else, the perception is, “yikes, that one is too big for their britches”.
Those britches will be high-couture britches, with Jupiter also sending some Libras into high-fashion frenzies.
Unless Jupiter manifests extreme behavior, as both Jupiter and Libra sometimes can exhibit, then abundant health, vibrant personality will delight your partners and friends.
The Venus in Aries Retrograde cycle in March through mid-April may bring arguments and aggressive responses from others. It is possible that people from the past reappear, or negotiations falter. Reflection on personal behavior and how you get needs met comes after butting heads with those you love and those you have been antagonistic in the past.
Scorpio
First blush for the first days of 2017: romance, pleasure and memories. There can be a desire to escape into a fantasy world of romance.
Another impulse is to imagine what practicalities can be put into place so that joy is less illusive and creativity more active.
Canadian artist, Dianne Bersea, hands out “Creative Licenses” in her monthly classes which “entitles, indeed encourages, the bearer to abandon all anxiety, concern, goal focus, perfectionism, self-judgment and all other barriers to the extraordinary joy of creative expression.” Imagine you have received your license.
Second blush, especially for Scorpios born in the last third of the sign: radical perception changes in what health means. There could be a wake up call, lightbulb moment, or brilliant idea on how to revolutionize health and wellness. Similar awareness can overlap into the work place.
During the 40 day Venus Retrograde starting March 4, some Scorpios may be more interested in health and wellness, while others may want to focus on who they associate with in the work place. A former co-worker or other partner may reappear for a short time. Their presence may remind you of what could be improved in current work relationships. They may pass on a teaching or skill, or put your mind at ease with your progress thus far.
So many visions and ideas compete with each other that Scorpios may be driven to over-analyze and even over-load on self-questioning. Indeed, it IS a time to question how you thinks and what you have accepted over time as true. Too much cerebral stimulatation, can lead to a mental implosion. Recognize the need for balance.
If called, study fundamental beliefs like those about gender roles, family life, laws, dogma, religious tenets, spiritual assumptions and how attachment to them builds one’s community and culture. You may find your beliefs solid and true or they many not be as principled as previously thought. Weed through them. Have conversations about them. Think deeply and honestly. From the sorting through details, comes deeper convictions and a more meaningful life.
Jupiter entering your Sign in October 2017 means you are coming into a 12 year high cycle. What fun. This can bring more wealth and abundance through much of 2018. Accolades and recognition are possible, too.
Up until Jupiter’s sign change, and while Saturn is still in Sagittarius in the sector of your personal finances, it is not good idea to not count your chickens before they hatch. Instead continue to strategize and save. What you could count are your blessings and your talents. Some of those abilities can come in handy down the road. Practice and improve upon the talents you love and bring you joy.
Sagittarius
Sagittarius’ natural ruler is Jupiter. With the planet in Libra through much of the year, community can be quite active. In fact, this is quite a ‘lucky’ placement this year. New groups may introduce you to new friends and partners. Renewed interest in a current or old community can expand your friendship base in unexpected ways this year.
Jupiter may also teach that dreams from the past have run their course. It may be desirable to let go of them, so future dreams are seeded. With Jupiter in opposition to Uranus twice this year, breakthroughs and reinventions are close at hand. Jupiter opposed Uranus for the first time December 26, 2016. You might have an exceptional idea already. Just remember that both Jupiter and Uranus are future-oriented planets. Before rushing into something, be sure you have done the research, have a strategy and a plan.
Saturn continues its trine to Uranus this year. Be inspired by the new ideas and still respect Saturn’s call to be responsible and hard working. Saturn is still in Sagittarius, your Sun Sign. It naturally slows life force down, so that the necessary processing can occur, so reconstructed design and vision for your life evolves over the next 29 years.
This year continues to be important for focus and care of the Heart. For some that will mean the physical heart. If something has developed or if you are unsure, do check matters out with a health professional. The natural mineral for Sagittarius is Silica. The Cornell Encyclopedia of Medical Astrology recommends building vitality during times of weakness, which can occur during Saturn/Sun transits. Do remember there are other chart factors to consider.
Neptune in the sector of home and family, may bring some unusual distractions. What comes to mind is plumbing, leaks and weather-related problems. Home may be especially important as a place for spiritual nourishment. Or, one might feel as though there is an illusive, possibly deceptive, energy in one’s living environment. Feng Shui, cleansing ceremonies like smudging with sage could be useful in those instances.
Pluto continues to enforce cyclical deep inquiry into values, self-worth, and survival necessities. What you thought was important in these areas may not be anymore. They also may become even more important. This is a long term transit requiring patience. Don’t worry if you don’t feel that you have everything figured out right away.
Self-sufficiency and self-responsibility is worthy; however, so are involvements with others. Sagittarians need freedom to explore, travel, learn, have adventures. Some need more freedom and space than others. Pluto in Capricorn focuses on what is required to survive in a world that is undergoing profound change and division. Part of that includes building community and being receptive to other viewpoints.
Venus Retrograde starts March 4 and lasts 40 days. This is not the best time for gambling or making expensive purchases. Surprising scenarios can develop for a few Sagittarians which may make a risk seem like it is worth it. Still, it’s hard to suggest ‘going for it’. Old lovers may reappear and then disappear. Promises made can fall through after Venus goes direct. Children could come home and ask for a loan. Be prudent with handouts during the retrograde, if it will hurt your financial position.
Capricorn
As the year opens, Mercury, sits on the eastern horizon for Capricorns. Question yourself and your principles while Mercury is retrograde. After the January 4, the planet enters the sector of dreams and ancestors. Then, ask God/Goddess/Spirit, a grandparent, or your deeper self for a dream answer. Correlate the results after Mercury returns to Capricorn around the 12.
Some of what is written here, will feel like a repeat of last year. Of course, life progresses, adjustments are made, but fundamentally, there are similarities, because the journey of self-empowerment and inner transformation does not happen overnight. Sometimes there are moments of Knowing that makes change feel like overnight metamorphosis.
Pluto in the sign of your Sun, continues its extended journey of self-empowerment and rebirthing of Purpose. This is especially intense and cyclic for Capricorns born January 4-10. The value of searching deep within is that substantial healing can come from awareness, acceptance and release. It is helpful to scrutinize parts of Self that one could call the Shadow Self, dark areas of personality. Better to understand and know them, than to regret the results of their power.
Personal strength and quality relationships are part of the long term benefit when working with Pluto this year.
Saturn in Sagittarius— finalizes a cycle in life for Capricorns this year. For some this can mean that boulders of experience which have weighed you down are let go. Or, monoliths push up through the plowed fields of life experience and strengthen you spiritually or from behind the scenes, so the next chapter can begin.
What might boulders look like? They may represent the dogma or the fears which have been accepted without thinking for generations. A monolith could be a spiritual teacher who is on standby to send instruction when called upon in a dream, ceremony or meditation.
Yogananda Paramhansa wrote, rather than ask sweetly for assistance, DEMAND a response from God to show the seriousness and sincerity of the request. Call on your guides, teachers and ancestors for wisdom about what is meant to be released before Saturn enters your zodiac sign.
Saturn’s transition to Capricorn, December 19, 2017, beings a profound, once every 29-ish years, maturation cycle. It a two and a half year to three year period, when the substance of your inner work becomes apparent to the world.
Wake up calls at home or the sudden idea to relocate is also part of the potential of 2017. Some Capricorns know this already and have moved or changed their personal environment. Those in the last third of the sign are more likely to consider similar changes.
This year’s Venus Retrograde cycle (March 4-April 15) is a good time to reflect on home matters whether you are in a new house or are looking for one. What would you like? What do you need? How much energy do you want to put into your personal environment? Do you love where you are living? Is the neighborhood what you like? Can you afford it during a year when income may fluctuate?
It’s not advisable to actually put an offer on a place or buy or sell a home or even purchase luxury items for the home during Venus Retrograde.
Professional matters benefit from Jupiter. Building good relationships with authorities may bring surprise opportunities. Some Capricorns may want to make a change and it is possible this will happen some. Having a strategy and backup plan would be wise, so that the excitement of change doesn’t overwhelm or backfire later on.
If a unique opportunity does arise, get details and promises written down, and printed out in hard copy, then saved in a secure place. Technical wipeouts are possible. There can also be those moments where honesty and truth are are hidden behind really good stories. Good use of imagination can result in creative solutions, but also in deception whether intentional or not. Double check. Be clear. Ask again if you’re not quite sure.
Aquarius
Aquarius is ruled by two planets, Saturn and Uranus. In 2017, both are in reasonable and sometimes greatly supportive placements for Aquarians.
Uranus is inclined this year to awaken you to different perspectives useful in making objective and sound decisions. It is important to consider both the details and the wider perspective as Uranus and Jupiter are in opposite signs this year.
For Aquarians, this means a supercharged left and right brain, our two avenues of retrieving and disseminating knowledge. There is a biochemical tissue salt that is very helpful for the possible mental overload this year: Kali Phosphoricum. This won’t be an issue if you take time-outs on a regular basis. Your natural mineral is water-balancing Natrum Muriaticum, which cools the body’s electrical system, which Uranus may overheat at times.
Quick and sudden changes in mental orientation can occur this year. Insight can come from surprisingly close to home sources. Neighbors, sibling, local shopkeepers may ‘accidentally’ say something that shifts the mind, as can an insert from the local community college.
You may also want to update your skill set, especially related to technology, perhaps even consider teaching, writing or publishing strengths. Some Aquarians may want to consider this a beautification project. You know the technology, but now may want to make the result beautiful.
As I was writing this forecast I was also researching a book. recommended by Wildlife Artist, Terry Isaac, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards. Even if you are not an artist, this book, could be a valuable resource in understanding how the right brain works. I ended up ordering it for Aquarian, ShawnSky Farmer.
Jupiter in Libra makes most of this year a fine one for romance, collaboration, even long-term partnership. Exposure to a wide variety of ordinary and non-ordinary people who appreciate your gifts and talents is likely. In October Jupiter’s focus will be more on joint resources. If not retired, this can relate to professional or career matters.
Note that during this year’s Venus Retrograde cycle (March 4 – April 15) though, it may be tempting to buy another bit of software, an app, new smart phone or Apple Watch— something to add to the technical toolkit to enhance your skill set— this is not the best time to do so.
Question what you really need and want. Does it enhance your desire to network and stay in touch, communicate better with a loved one? Make the purchases after the Retrograde is over, if you still want them then.
People from the past may return (sometimes briefly) during a Venus Retrograde. They may have been teachers or come to remind you of an old dream or aspiration.
Saturn is your other ruler. This planet’s energy appears more persistent and pressing in life. It responds positively to dedicated work and effort. In some ways, since late 2014, when Saturn entered the sector of groups and community, it may feel that your tribe, to which you have been most loyal, is not providing as much satisfaction. This community, or members in it, seem to have more demands than your free-spirited side wants to tackle.
For others, your circle’s influence is strengthening. Activities like volunteering put you in high regard or at least provide personal gratification. Others connect easily with on-line or multi-cultural communities.
This year opens with your two rulers, Uranus and Saturn, in trine aspect. This is highly supportive for Aquarians who are interested in teaching or mentoring. It also puts you in a great position to be seen as an expert or someone who has a lot of good skills. That is why it can be beneficial to enhance those skills (without going overboard on spending during the Venus Retro time).
While Neptune is in the house of personal resources and values, compassionate giving can be quite effortless. It is worthwhile to consider a more discriminating outlook. Money can easily slip through the fingers as Aquarians’ imagination have no trouble coming up with ideas which need financing.
Consider inquiring into sacred and appropriate use of money and how that fits into your value system. Be sure that basics are cared for… rent, groceries, internet services.
Pluto in Capricorn continues to dredge through all sorts of underground and hidden material to ultimately transform your relationship with all the collective belief systems you have experienced over lifetimes and allow yourself to be subtlety controlled by. We probably all have some of those regardless of our consciousness and especially if we are human.
In this cycle you gain understanding of the psychological and ancestral connection to these beliefs. This is not an overnight process. In the long run it’s empowering and gives Aquarians choice in living true to their individual natures.
Pisces
2017 continues to be a year of projecting out an alluring quality that can attract all kinds of followers.
You have two planetary rulers, Neptune and Jupiter, and both of them are sending out signals that can be both confusing and hypnotic to others.
Neptune casts a rose-colored mystic haze around you which creates a chameleon-like energy. For others, this is both attractive and puzzling. For Pisces, this can be bewildering too, if you don’t feel like you understand who YOU are anymore. How you understand yourself shifts like the weather this year especially if born between February 26 and March 4.
Even your vital energy can fluctuate especially through most of January. Your natural mineral salt, Ferrum Phosphate, may be worth investigating as it carries oxygen through the cells.
Other Pisces find that they must address how much time is to be spent on others and how much on self. Compassionate responses are natural and highlighted even more this year unless there are other trends in the chart. Be wary of deception and misrepresentations which lure you to sacrificing your precious energy reserves.
Your other ruler, Jupiter, has been in the sector of shared resources since the fall of 2016. This area includes finances held jointly with others and feels greatly abundant. Wealth may increase this year for some. However, it is also in the opposite sign as Uranus who is more concerned with your personal money right now.
Uranus’ behavior is extreme and chaotic this year, when it comes to your private pocketbook, meaning that money may not always be there when you think you need it.
The Venus Retrograde cycle this year (March 4 – April 15) predominantly highlights your essential needs. How much do you need to survive. How do you assert yourself to meet your needs? What are your highest values? Do the important people in your life, have similar values? It’s not a great time to get married or make large purchases during the retrograde.
Because you have a lovely attractive, even sexy, vibe around you this year, others will want to partner up. Yes, there can be romantic interludes, if you want. People are attracted to the feeling that you know them deeply to the core. Just keep in mind that though they may be bring pleasure and delight, you are also quite open to suggestion.
Don’t take promises for granted in either romantic or financial arrangements.
Saturn is in a position, largely for Pisces born in the last third of the sign, to decide to either let go of a profession or make some changes within a career to improve your position. For all Pisces, since late 2014 through December of this year, there has been a pull somehow to blend your personal vision with a stronger expression in the world.
How Pisces are connected with their professional network can be fraught with power struggles at times this year. You may be seen as a person of significance or as someone who is looking to stir the pot and only interested in personal prestige. In any case, if you feel controlled within a group environment, you might consider looking elsewhere for people who have similar values. If you are being self-righteous, be open to other viewpoints. If the group doesn’t fit anymore, reflect on your gifts and talents and rebuild your community base.
