There are many tools available from Apps for the mobile phone and table, to outstanding astrology software for Macs and PCs.
Macs are my preference. If they are yours, and you want Windows based software, there are several tools to emulate the Windows environment on your computer. I use Parallels which lets you install as many operating systems as your heart desires or budget can manage.
Astrology Software I use regularly
Astrograph’s TimePassages. This was the first astrology software I bought a license for, back in 2007, and it is my ‘go-to’ to pull a quick chart. Other features include AstroMaps, visual Transit Timelines and recently some new Fixed Star and Arabic Parts. Many other features.
Time Cycles Research‘s IO Software. This software has many packages and licenses. The reports are diverse, interesting and well put together and written by professional astrologers. The IO Cartography mapping software offers Local Space and Mundane Maps. Transit and progression reports and more. Plus you can design your own look or choose one of the many chart styles already offered.
AstroGold. This is an excellent tool for phones and tablets, Apple and Android. Really amazing, easy to learn and inexpensive. I haven’t tried the Mac Desktop version, but it is available.
If you don’t care to spend any money, Astro.com is also a great resource which lets you pull a variety of charts for free.
The Planetary Phase Calculator is a tool I wrote while practicing calculating phases in my head. Initially, it was challenging. Once, you get the hang of it, it can be easy. Here is a tool to use in the interim. I am hoping someday to turn it into an app.
