Full Moon in Sagittarius
June 20, 2016 4:02 AM PDT. Full Moon in Sagittarius, on the first day of Summer, complements the Mutability of the Times. What? Mutability? Well, let’s call the lack of consistency that Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune are bringing forward and encouraging us to work with on a number of levels. This is anywhere from taking responsibility for current conditions, getting real about situations that don’t feel so “real”, determining whether our dreams are worthy of putting energy into manifestation, and getting a handle on our intuitive skills.
This particular Full Moon is also Void of Course, creating a temporary low energy weather pattern, but it doesn’t last long. You may feel it if you are an early riser in North America.
Also interesting about this Full Moon in Sagittarius chart, less than 12 hours before Solstice (Sun enters Cancer), is that Mercury, the messenger, in Gemini, activates Saturn, Neptune and Jupiter. In that order.
What does that mean? Pay attention the mental chatter, the messages, the information, the options that are presented. What kinds of messages?
From Saturn in Sagittarius: Authoritarian figures present Sagittarian messages, these can range from seriously extreme viewpoints, to considered, mature material designed to say, “Grow up and look at the big picture.” Saturn matures, and slows the pattern’s related to excess. Combined with Mercury is about awareness of the mind. June 19-21.
From Neptune in Pisces: Neptune rules the oceans and, guess what?, the oceans are not always peaceful places. In the churning of the waves, it can be impossible to get a clear picture, not to mention the potential for sea sickness. When Mercury receives from Neptune, we can learn about deception, collective fears, or the multiple sides of Truth. The energy with Mercury is about taking an action that separates or distinguishes us from an old pattern. With faith, may we not be deceived, rather listen to our Spirit. June 19-21.
From Jupiter in Virgo: Jupiter reflects the energy of vision, and the future. He also represents, in our charts, our gifts to be offered out in public view. The message from Jupiter is both visionary and practical. Which of your talents and dreams has the most bang for the buck? Which serves the greatest good? Listen to Jupiter’s message, choose the most effective option and discard the rest. Mercury and Jupiter’s energy is about finalizing the decisions based on good use of right and left brained thinking. June 21-23.

with Intuitive Skills.
Doesn’t this sound like a good time to pay attention to our intuition? If we don’t trust our intuition, we could go into training (Saturn in Sagittarius), start an intuition practice (Jupiter in Virgo). Even those who are born with natural intuitive talents, this time encourages practice and building trust in our own intuitive abilities.
Share, please and thank you.
Wonderful perspective, dear Shawn. Lately I am hearing the intuition but giving others the benefit of the doubt and then paying the price in a handful of ways. The Solstice from an occult standpoint is a union of our feminine and masculine selves; my dreams are starting to show this. Beautiful time of year, if not hot.
Ah, yes, giving others the benefit of the doubt. This seems somewhat the status quo on my end, too. Having to return to conversations to re-clarify and calm fears.
