More about July at my Mailchimp Newsletter.
Uranus has been preparing to retrograde since June 13 and does so officially July 29 at 24° Aries 30′.
Could it be that we live all of our lives at the same time? Ever thought of that? In which case, Uranus creates an electrical connection between that life space and this one and then… there is a transfer of ideas…whoosh… in a download (or upload). That might sound crazy, but the idea (Uranus) is fascinating.
Uranus correlates to long term memories that reside in the unconscious– sort of the collection of memories over lifetimes, even those “memories” that reflect the intentions for follow-up lives, future lives.
Uranus also holds the memories of past life traumas. Knowing this can be useful in the journey of healing the Soul and understanding why certain situations trigger distress. Astrologer and Psychosynthesis Therapist, Mark Jones, wrote a first-rate book, Healing the Soul. Pluto, Uranus and the Lunar Nodes, which describes this concept further.
The point is that Uranus activity can bring spontaneous awakening to ideas we would have fought against previously. If we resist, Uranus turns our lives upside down, in very quick order.
Up until the end of the month, July is more about Mars returns to average speed. After the last couple of months of some rest, resistance and blocks, there is more of a sense of importance about our intimate relationships especially those with family.
Issues that show up at the home front or in our personal environments include how family, whatever form it takes, provides the feeling of nurture and safety. That includes financial security, and working toward agreements on communal concerns like who does what.
Some decisions can be delegated, other decisions are better handled as a whole.
Toward the end of the month, expect the unexpected.
I sketched this out in December 2015 imagining what July’s Uranus in Aries retrograde might look like.
The techno music is on for inspiration. A friend sent me an article on Christmas 2015’s Uranus change of direction, fifth dimensional frequencies, and quickened manifestations. My inner warrior feels called to acts of reinvention, rebelliousness and awakening. In July, think back, what was Solstice/Christmas/Winter/Festivus/Pancha Ganapati/Saturnalia/Kwanzaa through the New Year like? (I was on creative overload back then…)
Shifts with Uranus are described as: quick, different, chaotic, inspirational, unexpected, surprising, mind-blowing, and astonishing. “Sit down, I’ve got something to tell you,” can result in mental Uranian shock. “We’ve won the lotto!” or “Something came up, I’m leaving for Istanbul.”
One can reliably predict that SOMETHING will alter either one’s inner or outer world during a significant Uranus transit. If you notice it in yourself or someone else, then Uranus could be engaged with your astrological birth map.
One of my favorite astrologers, Steven Arroyo, suggests using Uranus to fine tune a birth time, because of its reliability in unexpected events very close to exact transits.
This month’s retrograde may show activity in our outer world, but for personal overhauls, you’ll need to have 22 to 25 degrees of Aries active in the Angles of your birth map or to personal planets. The exact Retrograde point is 24° Aries 30′.
Who can expect Uranus to jolt one out of a no longer useful illusion? Those born in Cardinal signs or who have a Cardinal emphasis in their chart within 22 to 25 degrees. Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.
Who can expect as less dramatic, and still revolutionary shift? Leo’s and Sagittarius. Aquarius and Gemini.

Shawn’s curiosity

Curiosity
Mid month (7/13) Jupiter opposes the same spot in the heavens as the last Total Solar Eclipse on March 8th. Honestly, will this reveal anything in a broader way? To be seen. One way to learn more about astrology is to be on the lookout for patterns.
If this is relevant, those who have 18-20 degrees of mutable signs or angles (ASC etc) active, would feel a thread linking back to the Eclipse.
How could one work with Jupiter opposite the Eclipse point? Look to where is Jupiter transiting. Could it be that there is too much of a good thing going on in that house. If Jupiter is traveling the 6th house, work opportunity may expand, pick and choose how to share those gifts in service and in healing.
Then look at the house the Solar Eclipse was in. In this example, it would be the 12th house, the last house of a birth chart, which is correlates to long term health, hidden, spiritual and psychic matters.
While an opposition would like balance, there is often conflict involved, resulting in the need to decide this or that. Often others are part of the story.
