This week’s Lunar Eclipse and Saturn Retrograde fall together within days.
This is a Libra eclipse with Venus in Pisces qualities. Consider your relationship with yourself and how that reflects in the relationships to others. Consider how compassion plays a role in both types of relationships.
Details
- March 23, 2016 Lunar Eclipse at 3° Libra 17′.
- March 23, 2016 Jupiter in a Last Quarter Square to Saturn. Jupiter and the North Node are conjoined.
- March 25, 2016 Saturn stations at 16° Sagittarius 24′.
Lunar Eclipses are less likely to be event oriented and more likely to focus on internal pursuits. However, it can be that because of that “inner work” there are messages or events that reflect or bring to awareness the basis of those explorations.
Back in 2014 there was an Lunar eclipse days after I moved West. On the day of the eclipse, I received a phone call about the conclusion of a legal matter, two letters, one with a license another with a certificate, plus went to see a musician, who just happened to be in town and whose songs I considered emotional medicine over the previous years.
In each case they were clear confirmations of a changing personal environment both on the inner and outer. Not all Lunar Eclipses present themselves this synchronistically. Other transits were active and increased the potency.
Is this Libra Eclipse opposing or conjoining a personal planet to make it more potent for you? Look at the house. Then, journal, observe, look within.
Saturn Stationary Retrograde in Sagittarius.
This Retrograde feels like stopping the car mid-road trip, in the middle of Number One Highway across Canada, in the middle of the Prairies. Or Interstate 70 through Kansas.
There’s nothing around except an expanse of land and a wide open sky. You step out of the car. Stretch. Take in a long cool breath of March air.
The car seems fine. But there is a vibration under your feet that hums and rumbles and you feel it to the core of your being. If you had cell service, there might be a notification from your earthquake app, of a quake in some distant land.
Something tells you to turn around. Call it an ‘intuitive hit.’
Did you forget something? Where is the map?
Maybe your priorities just haven’t been quite figured out yet. (Jupiter/North Node in Virgo.)
Maybe you packed more than you needed.
Still… you thought Saturn in Sagittarius was about restructuring your beliefs? And, what about broadening your horizons?
No worries, the trip will happen. Saturn gives you the time you need.
There’s just some exploration still to do at home or maybe in the town twenty clicks back.
Previous post on Saturn in Sagittarius..
Reminder: Big Picture for March. Living in balance takes discipline and commitment. Over time, wisdom and intuition develop.
Patterns
This eclipse references back to a Lunar eclipse 6 months ago September 27, 2015 in Aries. Because of the polarity, it feels there may be a reference back to that time. If that time period was significant, perhaps there is a resonance now.
In 1987, Saturn was hovering around the same place, with three hits to the degree of this week’s retrograde. In fact, when it retrograded in August 1987, the Lunar Nodes were in early Libra/Aries almost exact to the upcoming Eclipse.
Is this madness to see these patterns and not offer an explanation? What does this mean? Does it mean anything?
This is the hamster wheel an astrologer can climb into. A wide array of patterns, which the truly brilliant astrologer can come to wise conclusions about after a lifetime of observation.
(That’s not me. I should be working on April’s Astrology. Still this was what was presented…)

Good Morning, written with sadness as another tragedy in the world, in Brussels, is presented to us during this Eclipse period. This post is more about the personal experience of the transits should they be prominent in your birth map, your horoscope.
As for those who are suffering, and I’m referring to the victims and victimizers (who indeed are suffering), my suggestion is to find some way to send love. The h’oponopono prayer is a powerful place to start, though I am sure you will have your own way to bring more love and compassion into the world.
I love you
I am sorry
Please forgive me
Thank you.
If you have not heard of hoponopono, do a search.
