Scorpio energy has Depth with a capital ‘D’. It’s a fixed, water sign. Fixed and Water. Stable, persistent; emotional and sensitive. Scorpio’s Desire (another capital ‘D’) is to know everything about all natural cycles especially those connected with other people. It is the sign right after people-oriented Libra. Scorpio takes relations a step further. It wants to make a deeper emotional connection.
Everything related to Life and Death interests Scorpio. Anything in life necessary to stay alive and anything in life that is known to end or be transmuted becomes important.
Scorpio’s journey is Depth at all cost, even if it means merging with something it is NOT and, as a result, loses itself. Fully developed Scorpio is able to release, let go and accept natural changes.
The Full Moon in Scorpio reminds us that the journey is part of a larger cycle. Can we accept that everything changes? It’s an emotionally ripe time for surrender.

Surrender, by ShawnSky Farmer
Knowing that sensitivities run high when the Moon is in Scorpio and that life goes on with practical concerns, we might be vulnerable to or intent on:
–Money matters especially those where other’s resources are involved like banks and partners. Did taxes get filed? Is debt getting out of hand? Should a loan be pursued?
-Emotional negotiations about values. For some, we may be reminded of deeper wounds around self-worth.
-Power or the opposite of Power—- Limits. Someone triggers us or we trigger another and a power struggle to prevail ensues.
–Secrets. Is it time to release the burden of a secret that weighs down the emotional body? If yes, that does not imply sharing the secret is appropriate. There are other ways to let go.
–Desires and passions of all kinds. Anything that makes us feel closer to what we crave whether it is “stuff”, another person or direct access to Source energy. Obsessing, controlling or absolute focus on our desires, whatever they may be, is symbolic of Scorpio’s desire to connect with Source. Yogananda wrote about the requirement to meet all our worldly needs, so that as we became bored with them, we would eventually be drawn more toward God/Goddess. In Jeffrey Green’s Evolutionary Astrology, ‘separating desires’ keep us from conscious relationship with Source Energy, but they are not to be secretly ashamed of. They are part of the evolutionary process.
Along with the Scorpio theme, we may be drawn to other transits depending on our own personal horoscope.
There are two major themes in the Full Moon story. The predominant roles are played by Jupiter and Saturn. Jupiter, the King of the Gods, is playing the part of the Jovial Teacher. The second major role goes to Saturn. He is the father of Jupiter and has been known as the God of Time. Today he’ll play the Master Builder. In Evolutionary Astrology he represents the structure of consciousness.
One of these two prominent forces, both teachers in their own right, appears to have the edge and will be more relevant during this Full Moon time. What do you think? Who will prevail? Whose energy will you feel or engage with?

Jupiter
Jupiter’s Storyline
Mars in Gemini trines Jupiter in Libra. A Warrior of Words is meeting with a Jovial Teacher (of substantial girth) in a natural setting— in the mountains where there is an expansive view overlooking the ocean. We might take this as a great time to expand our horizons and feel more confident of our skills, maybe even do something productive, something really big, visionary, worthy of a partnership of the minds, something substantial that stamps our mark on the world, to be revered by the gods and goddesses…however….
Jupiter in Libra opposes Pallas Athene in Aries. Distracted, the mighty Jovial Teacher is confronted by the Goddess of Feminine Wisdom. He wants to make love and partner up. She’s up for a battle. Hey, there’s crisis on the planet. It’s time for action. Mars in Gemini, even with his agenda to write a brilliant manifesto, is appreciative of her energy right now because…
Mars in Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces. The Warrior of Words has become aware of a great mist which has wafted up the mountain. Actually, it is more wet than the usual fog. He has a sense of being enveloped by the God of the Ocean. The exceptionally high waves and ocean spray has turned into a mixture of murky fog-drizzle in the mountains and wears the warrior down. His capacity to fully understand the wisdom of the Jovial Teacher diminishes. With his innate sense of humor, the warrior can see he might have to delay his mission or let go and let the chips fall where they may.

Saturn By Giovanni Francesco Romanelli
Saturn’s story is less complicated
At another location…. Mercury/Uranus in Aries Trines Saturn in Sagittarius. The Excitable and Fiery Duo: The Trickster and Great Awakener, Lord of Lightning Bolts engage with the Master Builder. They convene in a more arid climate. The Master Builder has spent some time at the Sagittarius Center of the Galaxy in the Milky Way recently, so he’s inspired with a great view of Truth and Wisdom. His motivation is to build on this. The Excitable and Fiery Duo are idea-driven and motivated to lead.
There are fewer distractions (and more sparks of inspiration) in the desert. The team combines the impulse to reform and make rapid changes by laying down a strong foundation of principles. One of their strategies, sparked by warrior goddess, Pallas Athene in Aries, was to send her to the Jupiter camp as a distraction. An ancient ploy, subject to gender stereotypes, but it just might work….
… The Full Moon in Scorpio provides the emotional current and ideally surrenders to the moment. Will the moment be more wishful thinking (or feeling) or building strong enduring relationships with substance?
