South Node
Neptune in Pisces conjoins the South Node this month, at the same time it changes direction. See the chart at the end.
It’s a superb energy for fantasy and imagination. What keeps popping into my mind, is the movies. Or video games. Or amazing visuals. As Neptune lines up with the South Node, or perhaps later looking back, we’ll see the release of movies romanticizing the past or video games with a combination of past/future themes.
Perhaps a new technology is being developed which brings extraordinary visuals to a new level, engaging the imagination in ways we hadn’t dreamed of previously.
More broadly, the perception of the past can be embellished by Neptune. One imagines forgiveness for supposed sins on the one hand and lies being covered up on the other. Something about the past becomes less real, more dreamy or glamorized. It’s a set up for forgetting what may have been valuable to remember or putting a memory on a pedestal.

Space for Grace
I once heard another astrologer say that Neptune creates space. I loved that. When there is space, there is room for something to move in or out. Neptune creates space for spirit, the divine, compassion and the purest of loves and some things that may not be healthy or could be labeled ‘escapist.’
Though the transition can feel intermittently confusing, forgiveness is worth considering. If accepted, we welcome a new sense of compassion for ourselves and others moving forward.
The last Neptune/South Node conjunctions with Mean Node & True Node:
Date | Node | Date | Node | Year | Sign |
November 3 | Mean | November 17 | True | 2016 | Pisces |
January 15 | True | January 21 | Mean | 2000 | Aquarius |
March 25 | True | March 29 | Mean | 1983 | 29 Sagittarius |
August 27 | True | September 2 | Mean | 1966 | Scorpio |
October 26 | Mean | November 11 | True | 1949 | Libra |
December 25, 1932 | True | January 22 | Mean) | 1933 | Virgo |
May 28 | True | June 14 | (Mean | 1916 | 0 Leo |
I wonder if a research astrologer has written about Neptune’s alignment with the nodes from a historical perspective. Any thoughts on this pattern?

Share, please and thank you.
I love the quote about forgiveness, dear Shawn. The thoughts you share about Neptune seem upbeat and attractive. That we experience the space to allow the evolutionary pulse to move in gently. I pray for less of the rough and tumble we’ve been experiencing in the States this election year. That more spiritually monumental events like Standing Rock uplift us. So much flashes by; it is hard to know what is real.
Thank you for for the comment, Hannah-Leigh, I was thinking about it overnight and then woke to read this quote from Dr. David Hawkins which reminded me of Neptune, but also, of this process of writing out potentials of astrological energies. “Hang on to your confusion. In the end it is your best friend, your best defense against the deathliness of others’ answers, against being raped by their ideas. If you are confused, you are still free.” Peace.
