Our spot for thoughts on the current astrological climate as time permits.
October 10: New Article: Jupiter in Scorpio
This month brings two bigger picture celestial events. 1. Jupiter makes its yearly sign change leaving Libra to enter transformative, sexy, soul-searching, security-oriented Scorpio. How will our views about death, dying and rebirth, recycling, survival, shared resources, and taxes grow after a year of get down to the bottom-line Scorpio.
2. Uranus and Neptune engage in a Crescent Phase dance which lasts through May 2019 with 5! exact Crescent Phase Semi-Squares during this time.
Back in 1993, the two conjoined (same sign and degrees). That was the start of this 172 year Uranus/Neptune cycle.
How can we understand the planetary energies between Uranus and Neptune? A start would be to synthesize symbols like ‘breakthrough and dreaming’, ‘deconditioning and spirituality’, ‘lighting and oceans’ or ‘chaos and stillness’.
The Crescent Phase in each 360 degree planetary cycle has a ‘get more information’ feel to it that promotes reflection of relative value before committing to change.
Well, we have a couple years to observe and correlate, as well as, look at previous Uranus/Neptune phases and cycles to learn more.
The New and Full Moon will be in Cardinal signs, Fiery Aries and Airy Libra, good for initiations related to the rush of ideas from last month and finding balance in the execution of them. Did you feel inspired or pushed to explore how you live your life?
Did you shake things up or were they shaken up for you? If yes, that may have been the Jupiter and Uranus influence of last month depending on the symbols in your own birth map. What will you start the ball rolling on? Who might you collaborate with?
September’s last of three Jupiter Uranus oppositions was relevant in my own life, at least temporarily, having me focus on the future. Decisions have been envisioned. In the short term, it will affect the time I have to write and engage with my favorite ancient symbolic language, astrology.
There will be many good astrologers who will write about the sign change for two planets, Jupiter and Saturn. These two are geared less to our personal identity and more to our relationship to the world. If I see a useful article, I’ll share it when I can. Probably, I’ll will jump in here and there with a few of my own thoughts. Peace to you.
This month listen to the voice of your deepest loving, if sometimes unexpectedly impatient, self.
