This week has been a rich one with multiple examples of the evolution in progress being demonstrated including Capricorn Full Moon with Mars square the Nodes in action. I’ll share a few in a moment.
Mostly what inspired me to write this morning (or think through typing) is “writing.” I’ve been writing a newsletter for several years now, since December 2011. The newsletter has gone through many changes as a result of an on-going internal conflict. The technical astrologer in me wants to be very specific and accurate about the details. It is the teacher side of me. This leads to very long newsletters, and complicates matters for those who are interested more in the forecasting or feel of the times. It feels sometimes I am writing for two audiences. People who are interested in astrology and people who are interested in learning astrology.
This year (again) I figured out what I want the foundation of the newsletters to be. Four things that must appear in some way in each newsletter. 1. Some message about the universal principle of love. This might be a link to something inspiring like a video, a quote, or weaving that principle in the astrology of the current time. 2. An image or artistic expression. This might be a picture of the natural world or some art from Shawnsky Farmer, or from one of the amazingly talented people I know. 3. A practical shorter article on astrology and wellness. 4. The main content would continue to be about the astrology of the month mostly revolving around the New and Full Moon. The technical details would be left for the end of the article with a link to Read More.
In my own birth map there is a strong impulse to do the “right” thing, so these conflicts about how to write for an audience, come up regularly. My spiritual practice must include doing something practical, something of service. The energy of Venus must be contained in what I do. Love, beauty, aesthetics are important. I want whatever I do to hold the vibration of peace and love. It’s been a mission since childhood, not that I have always been successful or even understood it as a child. Learning about the Martian polarity — anger— has been necessary as well.
This Full Moon with the Mars square to the Aries/Libra Nodal axis has given me time to reflect on these things again and vow to move always more toward Venus by removing blockages one step at a time.
Evolutionary Astrology in action–tidbits.
1. In a conversation about Gemini South Node and Saturn’s transit moving toward an eventual conjunction to her Sagittarius North Node, a friend, who always has a wealth of information at her fingertips, told me how she was trying out something new. She is working on a jigsaw puzzle. In the past she would be looking at the shapes, the colors, and peering closely at the details of the pieces to find matches. Now, she is using a different method. She walks by the table and watches how she is drawn through her intuition to this piece or that. She is developing Sagittarius. She is successfully finding placement for three pieces and with more practice that number will grow. No doubt that the practice of developing intuition will overlap into other areas of her life. And probably has.
2. Yesterday at the community market a massage therapist mentioned how much tension her clients are holding in their bodies. More or differently, noticeably more in this week. And her business has been good. Capricorn is connected to the structure of the body. The skeleton, the skin, the whole form of it. With Mars, also representing the body, in a tense position, square the nodal axis, it makes sense to think that some might feel stuck in the body, with resistance to moving forward and out of blockage. Thankfully there are wonderful bodyworkers out there who can help. (In the last newsletter there is a small piece on Wellness and the Full Moon–scroll to the end.)
Share, please and thank you.
