2018 questions — change of plans:
Coming soon. The current Uranus energy has simply altered time for me. Uranus brought Scorpio Moon Asks as an idea in 2017. Apparently, it was meant only for 2017. Now we would like to promote and present Guest Authors, astrologers of all levels, from enthusiasts and students to professionals. Artists to writers. Are you in? Do you have questions? I try to answer them below. Contact me.
Opening the blog doors to guest authors accomplishes several things: 1. It exposes readers to other viewpoints. 2. It gives astrologers and astrology enthusiasts an opportunity to express themselves creatively — and be promoted if desired. 3. It allows me to continue my break from writing longer astrology articles and keep the blog fresh. 4. Hopefully, it supports the astrological community in even a small way.
Thank you to my good friend, Barb Bell for her Astrological Joy poem, and to well respected teacher, Mark Jones, author of “Healing the Soul. Pluto,Uranus and the Lunar Nodes“, for writing about the use of astrology in “To Be or Not to Have” and getting the ball rolling.
Why did I start this Scorpio Moon Asks?
I wanted to make my website more relevant to the current world dynamic by introducing ideas from other astrologers with short written interviews with thoughts of worldly or astrological questions.
This would support the underlying intention of the website: “Improving Life through Self-Awareness and Conscious Action” using the symbolic language of astrology to glean insight into the mysteries and possibilities of being human.
What’s in it for you?
Besides another an opportunity to express your ideas, you’ll receive additional exposure of your talents including promoting your website, books, radio shows, classes, where you will be speaking, and so on. One of my strengths is to connect people to information and to promote other people. I often refer people to other practitioners, websites, books and so on.
The audience is people who are interested in astrology, a portion of whom have or are studying and have some familiarity with the language.
Many are interested in wellness. Most are female. A newsletter is distributed to people born between 2000 and 1939, the majority between 1940-1989.
Therefore, diverse articles with differing perspectives, from all backgrounds of astrologers encourages alternative ways to think about life. Our first interview questions were about the distressing world and political climate in 2017. The first set of questions for 2018 feel less weighty.
Because I do not earn money from this website yet, I won’t be able to pay you for the interview or your creative work. I will promote you on FB through publishing and boosting the post (advertising out of my pocket) and in my emailed newsletter.
I’m hoping you will find a benefit to being a part of this series. Whether it’s to include yourself in a community of diverse astrologers, to practice writing, to share your voice, to support this effort because we’re friends and colleagues or to receive another link of your website on an external site.
The latter is definitely a benefit to your web presence. The more links you have on other websites, the better Google will like you.
What’s in it for the audience?
Exposure to different astrologers. Other opinions than my own writing. Better and more content. Maybe from time to time some levity and respite from Scorpio Moon energy.
What is in it for Scorpio Moon Astrology and Shawn Limbach?
A growing audience and hopefully, eventually a website that produces an income or leads to income in other ways through advertising, affiliate links and sales of products, not yet fully developed or writing.
Who you are and what you do should not be a hairbreadth apart. The Buddha.
Most importantly, you do not need to ‘belong’ to a particular brand or strain of astrology. While I personally may not agree with each and every submission, the point is to have a variety of views. That said, I do reserve the right to not publish hateful responses.
If you are interested in contributing, please contact Shawn Limbach.
Submissions are subject to grammatical editing. 300 words or more preferred unless the submission is your own artwork or a ‘funny’.
Your Cost
The time it takes to write and find a good digital image of you, so you are presented in professional way. Image size: Minimum 600×600 pixels. Format: jpeg or .png.

2017 questions:
The current world’s political climate seems to be creating distress for so many individuals. More individuals are having trouble coping with some of the illogical behavior of our political leaders. My experience is with elders who grew up in war-torn countries or fought in wars, who fear repeat situations, but also people who have experienced relatively calm lives, who now seem to be triggered in quite extreme ways emotionally. Sometimes, this is leading to more illogical, distressfully, erratic and violent behavior. Other times, there is resistance to listening to other points of views. There are those who suffer more internally.
- How, as an Evolutionary Astrologer (or other life improvement oriented professional), would you approach a client who is having trouble coping with what is going on in the world? Alternatively, could you say something about ‘what is going on in the world’? Why does the climate seem more troubling now than previously?
- What inspires you about the current world climate?
- Is there a practice or something you personally do, that you want to share, for easing the pain of troubled Soul?
- Is there a book you would recommend and why?
- Anything else?
- Short bio, and picture of you, with something like-Who are you? How long have you been practicing? What are you known for? What is your website?

More about Scorpio Moon Astrology
In 2017, the top read articles included ones about the August Solar Eclipse, the Moon’s Nodes sign change and an article written in 2014 about Biochemic Tissue Salts and Astrology. Scorpio Moon Asks Steven Forrest was in the top 5 and I’m positive this boosted our audience more than any other boost since the blog started at the end of 2014.
We also attract people with a web tool I wrote called Phase Calculator, which helps astrologers calculate phases and aspects between planets, nodes and angles with applying and separating degrees. A variety of sort options are available. Reports can be emailed. This was designed initially for Evolutionary Astrologers using the Jeffrey Wolfe Green style of interpretation. (Sidenote: I would love to have someone collaborate with me to turn this into an app, because I haven’t had time to learn to code it in ‘app’ language myself.)
Though admittedly Scorpio Moon Astrology is not a top read astrology site, it has grown, especially since Scorpio Moon Asks started, and monthly hits continue to grow. I am fortunate to have loyal readers if not high numbers.
Visitors are mostly in the US and in Canada but also other countries like the UK and New Zealand. I promote the blog on Facebook, @shawnlimbachastrologer, on instagram and in a regularly emailed newsletter.
