Big Picture: “Your Call to Purpose…
isn’t necessarily about performing a specific task or being in a certain occupation. It’s about sharing yourself in a creative, loving way, using the skills and interests that are inherently part of you.” Wayne Dyer.

The month begins and ends with a New Moon and the first one, in Virgo, is a potent Solar Eclipse that includes the resonance of the final passing of the Saturn/Neptune Square. From the Eclipse perspective, what area of life will have a year long focus on improvement, on mastery, health and healing?
Look to the house in your birth map that contains Virgo. That’s also where Jupiter has been traveling the last year. Hopefully Jupiter’s blessings have not been taken for granted, certainly that area of life has gained some weight, expanded its waistline, indulged in all sorts of practical matters, deciding what to pursue and what not to.
Jupiter is ready for its yearly change, moving into relationship oriented Libra this month.

After a final burst of Mutable energy, Jupiter enters relationship oriented Libra. The month wraps up with a Libra New Moon.
Take what you’ve learned out into the world and share it, offer it to others. AND remember the lessons of discernment (Virgo) learned in the past year. Not everyone needs, wants or will benefit from talents or gifts.
What possibilities does Jupiter have for you?

You could read this or skip to the end.
Libra conventionally is represented by the scales. Libra’s desire is for balance and equanimity. So with great hopefulness, we enter a time where we may want to feel that the distresses in the world will resolve themselves. With any balancing act, there come the imbalances and the corrections.
Astrologically-minded financial experts look to beauty and fashion being an economic driver. Libra is ruled by Venus.
Libra is a Cardinal sign, implying action. We can expect decisions to be made. We trust they will be made with balance and justice.
The sign Libra also correlates to the archetype of listening. We have the opportunity to understand who we are within a social sphere by connecting with others, relating, and being attentive to one another. Being attentive, listening and understanding others’ needs is not the same as losing track of own’s own essential needs (Venus).
Jupiter correlates to the potential opportunities that can come to fruition, if there is balance between Saturn’s work ethic and Jupiter’s Vision. I was flipping through Steven Arroyo’s book “Exploring the Astrological Key to Jupiter Progress, Prosperity & Potential.” (A good long name for a book about a huge planet.)
Arroyo quotes Edgar Cayce, “In Jupiter, we find the great ennobling influences — the broader-mindedness, the ability to consider others, the Universal consciousnesses that are a part of the entity’s unfoldment.”
Yet we can find numerous Jupiterians who reflect extremes in opinions and are the antithesis of broadmindedness. We also find that some Jupiter transits don’t end up being the opportunities we expect, rather are more like “wishful thinking” and “it coulda beens.”
So! What to do? How work with Jupiter.
Get into the mindset that to find the Balance & Harmony and Opportunity & Prosperity in relationship during the Jupiter in Libra cycle, it won’t happen without effort. To quote Arroyo, writing about Jupiter, in general. “Learn as much as possible from those around you.”
How perfect is that? Libra correlates to others. Jupiter to learning. “Learn as much as possible from those around you.” Listen. Pay attention.
Who are these others? Your partner, co-workers, teachers, the clerk at the grocery store, the man curled up against the wall downtown with a hat and a sign, the new person who moved down the street from Monrovia or Syria, someone who has recently lost a loved one. The comedian who finds the drop of humour in the most dire situations. The racist who just really doesn’t get it.
Did I mention Libra can correlate to projection? When we pay attention to others we may see our own ‘you know what’ in a really BIG (Jupiter) way in others. There is another learning opportunity.
Now that I am on my soapbox…let’s add Saturn in Sagittarius, the workhorse, the builder of a foundation of Truth (Sagittarius/Jupiter.) Without a concentrated (Saturn) effort, Jupiter’s beneficence could be lost. The year of Jupiter in Libra-Love-(Venus) would not be spread as far and as wide.
At the very least, though it might feel uncomfortable, can we find our way on the harmonious, peaceful path of Love? Can we osmose Love into every cell of our being? Is it possible to consider projecting it out to those we find difficult to like, to understand, or to respect?
In this world hate never yet dispelled hate. Only Love dispels hate. This is the law, ancient and inexhaustible. Buddha

If you are a lucky Libra, this is your year to shine… and if you are a different Sun sign…
Aries. Jupiter brings more people to share your independent nature with and some of those people will teach you a lot about yourself.
Taurus. What a great year to expand on your skill set or get really, really good at something through practice. Choose your teachers wisely.
Gemini. If you have any creative bones in your body (and you do) expect them to strengthen. Collaborating creatively can bring you more attention than a little bit. You might feel a bit like a king or queen for the next year.
Cancer. It is a year to investigate the culture of family by opening your doors and letting others in or taking the home show on the road in a motor home.
Leo. Travels, classes, books, anything to bring more information into your world. That’s Jupiter’s royal mission for you. It’s best done when you are interacting with someone else and bouncing ideas off of others. Expand your mind, write a book…. better yet a screen play. The story of your life.
Virgo. A year to build up and refine what you need from life. You may find you have some talents that could serve you better especially in your relationships. Knowing your tendency to want to improve, you may tend to be overgenerous. Aim for balance.
Libra… Your lucky year. If you want to be seen, take advantage. You will seem larger than life this year and as a result busier. Take care to not burn out. If there is a special project that you’ve wanted to do, don’t ignore the blessing of Jupiter.
Scorpio. Your inner world gains importance. There may be a tendency escape and dream of past life relations. This is a year to investigate your relationship to fear.
Sagittarius. Pursuading your community, your tribe, to make big changes is much easier this year unless you go overboard with missionary fervor. Bring a partner… to the rally.
Capricorn. Career or other world recognition, traveling for work, imagining a new career are possibilities. The world may see you as a mentor. Your role in the world increases its scope.
Aquarius. Travel, new studies, adventures out in the wild. Your eclectic visions expand especially if you are open to meeting with people who have completely different backgrounds than you.
Pisces. Buy lottery tickets. Don’t take that too seriously… it’s just that you can benefit from the resources of others with Jupiter’s influence. It’s a great year to understand yourself and others more deeply, intimately and psychologically.
